HOW IT WORKS

Clear steps.
Better decisions.

An intentionally straightforward workflow grounded in your research, with automated assistance where it can genuinely help.

01

Read the manuscript

SubmitPilot accepts DOCX, searchable PDF, TXT and pasted text. Files are parsed on the application server for the current request. Structural checks work without any LLM credentials.

02

Analyze with care

If a server-side Claude API key is configured, SubmitPilot requests a preliminary, evidence-aware interpretation. Without it, a plainly labeled rules engine screens manuscript structure and reporting terms.

03

Explore publication patterns

A topic query searches recently indexed works in OpenAlex. Results group the papers by their journal sources and show example publications with links.

04

Check the real requirements

The current research-matching score describes literature overlap, not acceptance odds. Researchers must check each journal’s official aims and scope, article categories, indexing and fees.

05

Prepare submission materials

With a Claude API key, ask questions and draft manuscript-grounded statements. The model is explicitly instructed to flag missing evidence rather than manufacture declarations.

Built-in honesty is a feature.

SubmitPilot does not claim to perform peer review, guarantee acceptance, independently validate experiments, or verify official journal indexing and fees. Every suggestion is a starting point for researcher review.

Privacy by default.

No user accounts or permanent manuscript database are included. Manuscript text is kept in your browser’s current tab session after analysis. With Claude enabled, relevant text is sent to Anthropic through your deployment. Read our privacy details.
